How to Deal with the Tough Topics of Class 10th Biology of CBSE?

The Class 10th Science of CBSE comprises of Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.  This blog post will talk about how to deal with the tough subjects of Biology.

Biology plays a significant role in class10th CBSE as the marks obtained in class 10th decides whether the student can choose it in class 11thor not. The second reason is that it clears your basics of Biology. Plus, the student can also choose it as a career.

Though Biology is considered as a tough subject as it is the study of long processes of living organisms but the following approaches will make it much easier for you to study Biology. The approaches are described below:

1.     Study from generic to specific
2.     Learn the terminology well
3.     Learn through Laboratory Experiences
4.     Employ diagrams and  drawing to learn the concept

1.    Study from Generic things to specific things-
Study from generic to specific refers to the meanings that firstly, understand the main heading of the chapter. Understand the basic concept that what you are going to learn from the whole chapter. Then, start studying the topics and sub-topics covered under the chapter.

For example, if you are studying the chapter ‘Life Processes’, understand the meaning of life process that “All the living organisms perform some basic processes in order to remain alive and all these processes which together keep living organisms alive are called  life processes.”

Then, understand its sub-topics like ‘Nutrition’, ‘Excretion’,‘Respiration’, that how it is related to life processes.

2.     Learn the terminology well-
Biology is brimmed with difficult terms and vocabulary. So, whenever you face any difficult term, don’t skip it. Divide the word into small parts and then, try to understand the word.

For example, the term ‘Autotroph’ can be divided into two parts: auto and troph. Auto means self and troph means to nourish.  So, Autotrophs are the living organisms capable of self-nourishment.

3.     Employ the diagrams to learn the concept-
Drawing diagrams not only helps the student to score more marks but also clear the concept. When you learn the processing of any system, learn it through diagram.

For instance, if you want to learn about the ‘Human Nervous System’, make a clear diagram of the structure of neuron and then try to understand the whole system that how the organs of the nervous system work.

To make your concept more clear, Bright Tutee is sharing the link of video-lecture of ‘Human Nervous System’ by our experienced teacher as below:

4.     Learn through lab experiments-
Any theory of Biology is incomplete if it not practiced in the laboratory. The student learns the theory through his textbook and when he applies the same concept in doing the experiment of that concept, it retains for a longer time and makes the student very confident.

To conclude, no subject is tough or easy. It is the interest of the student and guidance of the teacher which makes the subject interesting. Bright Tutee is an endeavor to make every subject easy and simple for every student through its video lectures which are prepared by our team of experienced teachers. It also takes live sessions to clear the doubts of the students further.

The students of class 10th CBSE Science may refer to our live session of the whole syllabus of Biology of class where our mentor has explained all the topics of Biology. He has also explained tips and tricks to better marks in the examination on the below link:
